itz realli a great place ... da best college i have wondered about....the most fascinating thing here is tht u have freedom here.....freedom to study.... freedom to perform your own research, experiments, freedom to ask any illogical stupid ques. tht might make sense some day, and yaa freedom to have your own ideas..... get them patented and they might fetch you a few millions... seniors here are just awesome....they dnt belive in adressing them sir or mam, instead they persuade us to call them by their names just like our frnds.... they all treat themselves under one family iiser mohali ........
the academics here are just da best .... u got such good renowned prof. scientists researchers teaching u thats a great environment.....and to a surprise evn i started enjoyin physics a bit....
and yaa maths a lot....
my first day was just normal .... i was traeted as if i was a member of this institution for years... no formalities.....talk of ragging...huh....our seniors are so innocent tht instead of raggin, they even didnt take our intro we only introduce ourselves to them and ask abt them what course they are pursuing , whts their name etc.
the labs here are truly best in the nation ..... far better thn labs of iits.....yaa dats true and sooner we will be matching international lab standards....
although few of us were initially upset on our hostel allotments....
as we have two hostels 1 at mgsipap complex in the insti and other at nitttr outside insti .... the first one is having evrythng u want ... a plasma tv with volleyball court badminton court table tennis besides having a food mess and acanteen opening shortly.... and the former one where i reside is just da opposite..... having smallest of the rooms tht u have ever imagined....
but still i like my place nitttr.....cos of reasons like it has only 2 guys in a room ....while other had 6 to 7 or sumtimes 8 in a big room....
and yaah our wardner rarely visits here..... he he....
and i have discovered a few things here..... our nitttr also has an indoor badminton court lighted, a gym , a tt room , a canteen thts really nice at least it serves tea very well and economic too....and yaa we also have plasma tv here so no worry at all ..... some call themselves as prisoner of barrack no 301 nitttr jail ..... but i thnk itz all rubbish .... it purely depends on how u perceive things and hw u look at world around u.... huhh.... and after all as darwin said evolution is the survival for the fittest.... so hey u fellows stop blaming iiser and nitttr and just evolve yourself to survive there.... or bettter evolve ur thinking and perception about others....

well this is our chemistry lab.....state of art lab equipped with some of the most fascinating scientific devices and machine made in germany , france , japan etc....
but the pity is tht only 1 instrument is made in our homeland thts a shame for all of us ... even china has progreessed far much better than us.... thts why we all iiser students are there to match scientific calibre of our nation with germans , frenchs and japanese.... and to prove wrong the usual global feeling about all indians that indians are born to work as software engineers in mnc's or in bpo's....
thts what is the vision of every member of our family of iiser mohali here....
this lab is the best of its class far much better than labs of iits .... only few national labs like that of national chemical lab (NCL) pune or iisc bangalore have such gr8 facilities and its just the start soon we are going to match international lab standards....
for example at our permanent campus that is emerging at sec - 81 mohali we gonna have a huge (NMR) nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy machines to study structures at atomic and nuclear level.... thats why this institute is very different and fascinating in its own aspect....

this is our computer lab....having a great server of its own along with a high speed wi fi and a supersonic lan just da best for lan gaming .... thts why our seniors here are counter strike maniac....
it is also unique in its own way here we not use windows xp or vista or windows 7 either ..... better not thnk of mac.... these system runs on linux suse....and thts wht we are taught here this sem. in comp.
its really fantastic working and knowing such a new operating system and breaking the boring barriers of win xp.....
we are given freedom here as well we are free to work in lab anytime till 8 in even. except 4 our class time ... we may do anythng there watching movies , downloading songs , reading books or reference or just chatting or orkutting facebook twittering blogging mailing any thng of any sort..... freedom is wht the key is here..... but dnt misuse it....
at last i just wanna say this to every reader of this blog of mine
hey everyone frankly speaking i love this place....
i personally feel this place is just da best....i was a bit disappointed....while i failed to make it to iits ..... but whn i came here .... all my ideas about iiser changed .... i can now proudly say i am happy to be a part of such an institute....and i do encourage others too to be a part of it if they are curious about science and knowing this world in a better vision......
